Fabula Coffee

Our Light roast coffee is from the region of Mexico's Southern highlands, close to Guatemala's border. Beyond fabulous coffee, the region is also a very popular tourist destination due to its pyramids from the Mayan culture and stunning landscapes such as volcanos and canyons. There is even a "La Ruta del Café" – The Coffee Route for coffee-loving adventurers!

Coffee from this area has long been prized by roasters who have found the flavors of this region to be particularly well suited for mild blending and rich single origin roasts. Our light roast coffee is complex in profile, and expect notes of red apple, brown sugar, mixed nuts, and cocoa.

Fabula sources from cooperatives that create economic opportunities for smallholder farmers in these rural areas. In earlier times, most smallholders sold coffee to large commercial coffee purchasing entities who, regardless of quality, bought from producers at very low prices and bulked lots with little to no traceability.

Cooperatives were formed to give smallholders opportunities to genuinely improve their lives through agricultural training and opportunities for income diversification. In addition, they emphasize environmental-conservation projects, which include fully organic farming practices and water-soil conservation.

The goal is to link specialty coffee farmers to high value global markets, preserve the environment through sustainable practices, and create economic viability for the farmers.

Favorite Coffee!

Love

This coffee is the best. I have been buying it now for a yr or so. It helps keep away my acid reflux and sour stomach, unlike regular coffee. Would highly recommend!
