Finca Hungria is a notable coffee farm in Santa Ana, El Salvador, owned by the Lima Family, who have been in the coffee business for three generations. Established in the 1930s, Mr. Lima named the farm after Hungary, reflecting his love for European culture. This connection is evident in the quality and care the family invests in their coffee production, ensuring each batch tells a unique story.

Covering 60 hectares at an elevation of 1,100 meters, Finca Hungria enjoys optimal growing conditions that enhance its rich flavors. After harvest, the cherries are transported to Balcanes Mill, just 2 kilometers away, where they are dried on patios for 18 days. This meticulous process, combined with membership in the Cuzcachapa Cooperative, allows Finca Hungria to export premium coffee globally.

Commercial coffee production in El Salvador began in the 1850s, and by 1880, the country was the fourth-largest producer in the world. Coffee has long fueled the national economy, funding infrastructure projects like highways and railroads. Despite challenges during the civil war in the 1980s, Finca Hungria symbolizes resilience and improvement in quality.

Today, Finca Hungria plays a key role in revitalizing El Salvador’s coffee industry, showcasing the region's unique flavors. Its commitment to high-quality production enhances the coffee experience for enthusiasts while supporting sustainable farming practices.
